Reducing EPS Marine Litter in the North East Atlantic

OceanWise aims to develop and implement a set of long-term measures and methodologies to reduce the impact of expanded polystyrene (EPS) products as marine litter in the Northeast Atlantic Ocean. Based on resource efficiency, participatory methods and Circular Economy principles, it has generated new and best practices within sectors that use, manufacture or recycle EPS.

Sustainn Participation

As a project partner and work package leader, Sustainn has led the work package WP6: Circularity Indicators & Tools. Sustainn's role has been the development of methodologies and tools to analyse the circularity/sustainability of EPS and XPS products and applications.

The OceanWise project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Interreg Atlantic Area Programme.
